February 19, 2011 - 30th Birthday

Okay so I am a little late blogging about this, but I recently turned 30 ... and all I can think is holy hell I'm 30. I remember being 18 years old and being full of energy and feeling invicible ... now 12 years later I am always tired and feel like taking a nap. I guess that's what happens when you work, go to school, and have a cute little one year old running around the house, lol. I have to say though that it was a great birthday - I woke up to Stella (with a little help from Lauren) brining me my cards and gifts...and the day just kept getting better. I got to hang out with my family and even got to pick where to go to lunch --- which was Brother's Pizza, yummy ;)

That night we had a little party at my in-laws house and I was surrounded by all my friends and family...and recieved gifts, which lets admit it who doesn't enjoy getting gifts? Overall, it was a wonderful day ... even if I am as my nephew Travis would tell me a "dusty old fart". :)

Weight Watchers

Since Stella turned one at the beginning of the month, I thought it might be time that I take off the "baby weight". I can't believe how much of it stayed on...and how long it has been here. I have pretty much weighed the same since 2 weeks postpartum....so basically this exact time last year. I breast fed - everyone said the weight would just drip off and I wouldn't have to worry. Nope. I ate less and that did nothing. I thought about exercising, but with Stella getting up twice a night, having to go back to work in May, and just trying to figure out my new life, the thought of exercise made me exhausted.

So, now I start Weight Watchers. I hope this works. I still have to exercise, but since Stella actually sleeps through the night most nights now, I am hoping this is more achievable =)

wow

So, the fall went by fast!! Stella is 1 now....walking, "talking", and getting into everything. The last year has gone by so quickly....I can't believe she is already 1.

I managed to make it through the baby phase, with all the worries and anxiety that came with it. But now that we are in the toddler phase, there is a whole new set of worries and anxiety popping up. Geez, maybe when Stella is 30 I will be able to relax!! I don't know how people do this with more than one child....I mean really, how on earth can you handle it! While we want another kid, I am pretty sure Stella is going to have to be much more self sufficient before we bring another one into the mix. Just thinking about it makes me tired....lol!!!

Stella is certainly showing signs of intelligence...coupled with a serious streak of stubbornness. Boy, does Stella have a temper or what! She is so sweet, but if she does not get what she wants, when she wants it, watch out!! This could be very bad when she turns into a tween/teen.....she better grow out of it, or I am going to be completely gray by the time I am 40 (bad bad bad!!).

I will have to get Andy to post Stella's latest slide show....and if anyone wants to see more pics of cute baby, you should really befriend Andy on facebook, as he updates pic MUCH more often than I do =)
