20 Weeks
I am halfway through...hard to believe!! What is even harder to believe is that at the end of this I will be in charge of a little person - yikes!!!
Stella has started to really kick - I can see my stomach move at times. I can't imagine what that is going to feel like when she gets bigger.
I go in Monday for the next round of tests - a sonogram that will take measurements to make sure everything is growing properly. I also hope that she stays a girl - I know I am probably a bit neurotic about this, but it makes me so nervous that the sonogram a few weeks ago was read wrong. Especially after we got all the cute girl stuff!!! Although everyone has had "girl" premonitions (except for me, of course -I had none), so I guess I should just relax and buy some more cute things =)

I didn't have premonitions either. And I know what you mean about being paranoid about the sex. I had them check again at 36 weeks. lol
ReplyDeleteThose beginning kicks are so fun. Then they drive you nuts, because when they're not kicking you're nervous that they're not. Then they get bigger and if this little one is anything like Gabriel you feel like you'll bust a rib or he'll burst through your stomach like in Alien. lol
Have fun seeing baby on the sonogram!!! The anatomy one is really a great time. :) I hope she "stays" a girl for you. (But, if not, little boys are loads of fun too.)
Oh...I left this off. I love your little pregnant belly!!! You're really starting to show. What fun!
ReplyDeleteI know - when she isn't kicking I get nervous - like, should she be kicking now? When was the last time she kicked? It is going to drive me bonkers! She is also a very good kicker - she has great leg muscles - HA! That is not going to be fun in 10 weeks =)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how much I have grown in the last 2 weeks - I was not prepared to grow that much that quickly! I have to go shopping now for some pants now ;-)
Look at you! You look so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI loved shopping for pregnancy pants. They are so comfy and I really wanted to keep wearing them but I had to go back to the real world. I really liked the pants I got from mimi / pea in the pod with the secret belly fit with the panel that goes way up high. I know that it seems like you don't need that now but its way comfy and grows with you. I wore mine pretty much the whole time!
Good luck!
Oooh...I wore mine daily too Marissa. Sometimes I look at them longly in my closet. But, I took my last Birth control pill Friday so you never know...might be wearing them in the near future. lol
ReplyDeleteThat should have said longingly.
ReplyDeleteI have to go to Pea in the Pod....I have heard everyone talk about them. Motherhood Maternity had next to nothing to wear to work! I got a pair of jeans from Old Navy - they were the low-band ones that stretch....they are ok but not great. I had to get something though - I could barely button my jeans - HA!! I did get two pairs of gap maternity pants at a resale shop - $8 a piece - they are pretty good for the price. I do need a few more pairs for work though....
ReplyDeleteDid anyone try the belly band - it is supposed to keep your old pants up so you can still wear them??
For me I gained a lot of my weight in my thighs and tush so wearing my old pants was never an option. Honestly the secret belly fit pants are so comfy and stretchy I wouldn't have wanted to wear my old pants even if I could have. lol And you really do get TONS of use out of them. I wore them from about 3 months until about a month postpartum.
